Dear Readers,
I hope this little poem finds you in good health & brings you much happiness.
The Paradoxical Commandments
by Dr. Kent M. Keith
People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.
People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.

In NLP and Hypnotherapy there is an expression that a client is perfect just as they are and that they already have all the resources they need to do anything they desire. You can call it cell memory, cognitive skills or just the simple ability to imagine. However old or young you are your life has thus far has been made up of experiences. Even the youngest of children has experienced joy, elation, curiosity, disappointment, sadness and most likely the entire human spectrum of human emotions. And because you’ve done it once you can tune into it again and again.
If you think of your brain as a radio, having various stations to tune into then you may come to realize, that just like a radio, you have choice when it comes to what station to give your attention to.
You also have a wealth of extra information at your disposal. For example, a country station has a distinct sound, lyrics and characteristics that separate it from say, a pop or classical station. Understanding & identifying these characteristics is useful when it comes to managing your states.
We all make pictures in our mind, we add some audio, and perhaps some smells or tastes and these evoke feelings. The interesting thing is that people are creatures of habit and we have conditioned ways of going into and maintaining certain states or stations.
For example, someone who is depressed has conditioned this station into their habitual way of thinking. This station has certain thoughts, patterns of movement, tones and other sub-modalities. People who tap into this station regularly use a certain tone of voice, their shoulders are usually shrugged forward and head hangs low while their breathing is high in the chest and shallow. They usually imagine the worst case senario in the future or look back to the past to find examples of why something wont work now. When making pictures, the images are most likely big and in close proximity.
On the flip side, someone who is optimistic has done the exact same thing. They’ve just tuned into a different station. For them their posture is probably lighter, shoulders back, breathing is regular and deep, the tone of voice is most likely upbeat. They imagine a positive outcome and if they make pictures they are probably bright and close to them in their mind.
The only difference is that optimistic people tune into the positive station more than depressed people. To change your state you need to change your station. This is different than positive thinking, this is understanding that to get into any single state, first you have to know at what frequency the station emits its signal, then create the qualities of that station until you feel it.
Technique:
Think back to a time when you were in your desired state. Notice what your internal and external focus is, how are you standing, breathing, what tone of voice is being used? What pictures, sounds and feelings come to mind and where are they located? At first this can be difficult but with repetition it becomes easier to isolate the make –up of these states.
Once you have isolated the major influences that make up this state then do just that. Stand up and breathe the way you would breath, stand the way you would stand, use the same tone of voice and make the same pictures, act as if.
Without fail, if you do this until you get the feeling, you will put yourself into this state. Once in the state, you now know the frequency. The reason you feel this way is because you are doing specific things in a specific way that produce the state or station that you desire.
The more you repeat this act, the more you strengthen the dial in your mind, until with enough repetition, tuning into this station will become automatic. There are other ways to quicken the process such as the “Swish pattern” and “Anchoring”. More on these later, until then, enjoy the discovery of the process and characteristics of the states that are empowering and the stations you no longer want to tune into.

The Key to Happiness: Kundulini Breath Technique:
This is a great meditation in learning to control your energy levels, practice it everyday, and in a very short time the key to happiness in your life, will be that much closer and apparent.
The Key to Happiness: A Baseline Standard
One of the first things to learn about the key to happiness is to set a baseline standard regarding your emotions. What this means is that no matter what happens, there are certain things that you will and will not do with your life and emotions. When things tend to go wrong people tend to use that as an excuse to venture into negative behaviours and actions. Drug addicts and alcoholics are among the most prolific of the lot, as when the apparent stress level gets too high, they indulge in their chosen outlet. With a little pre-planning as to what makes up the key to happiness, these people could find that their addictions wash away.
The Key To Happiness: Attention
A baseline standard as the key to happiness has many aspects. The most important of which is to recognize when to let go of a thought and change your focus. Set this as the meta-belief of your baseline standard, and the key to happiness is yours. Negative thinking is always counter-productive to the key to happiness, always. Instead develop a pattern where you shift your focus towards the solution, if none can be found, then let it go. A simple meditation technique of labeling your thoughts and then letting them go will train your thinking over time. Try it for 30 days, every morning and night for 5 minutes at a time and you will notice big changes. Do this, and all the riches of the human mind are at your disposal. Don’t and the key to happiness will continue to allude you.
The Key To Happiness: Health
Another aspect of the key to happiness as a baseline standard is health. There should be a general level of physical health involved in your standard. Otherwise, aches and pains, as well as medical ailements will find their way into your day to day experience. Something simple, such as moderate drink, no smoke and the elimination of fast food from your diet is a great place to start. A major component to the key to happiness is tied up in health. If you feel good physically, then you enhance your chances of feeling good mentally. Begin each day by intentionally setting your physical mindset. Some light stretching can relieve tension, some light cardio will release endorphins. Also, what you eat affects your mood. The best example is children and sugar. Give them too much and they have bountiful energy that needs to waned, the same is true of adults. A great way to feel better is to take food optimizers. These usually come in a powdered form, and contain 50-100% of your daily nutritional values. In this world where most foods contain chemicals we can’t pronounce, it’s nice to know that we can meet our diets requirements with the ease of a drink. The key to happiness is vibrant in nature, this is what the aim of your baseline standard should be.
The Key to Happiness: Re-framing the past
The importance of re-framing as the key to happiness is paramount. The happiest people around don’t tend to have much bagage, they are complete with their pasts. Re-framing is a valuable skill-set to have. Excentuating the positive or at least eliminating the negative is the specifics of such a skill. Do this and the key to happiness is a truth you will understand. The meta-belief surrounding the past is that it’s over, and doesn’t have to creep into your present. The only way it can is via your mind, and this you can control. Playing a bad movie in your head, doesn’t help anyone, especially you, and the energy gained from thoughts of vengance can be attained through other means. Many people like anger because it makes them feel powerful and strong. In the proper context anger can be quite useful. However, anger usually morphs into other negative states. Re-framing the past is a great way to bring positive emotions into your present, and thus bring with it the key to happiness.
The Key To Happiness: Summary
To increase the likelyhood of the key to happiness in our lives, we must take action. We must create a positive and friendly environment in our mind and bodies. The two are one organism, and if we treat one with kindness it is reflected in the other. The key to happiness grows out from this ideal. Make time in your life to treat yourself properly via exercise and diet, and you will be rewarded in kind. Don’t and you will be at the control of influence. The imagination is a great servant, but a poor master, this is the key to happiness. Running your body and mind at optimal levels will produce optimal results. Start your day with good nutrition, exercise and meditation and the key to happiness may be yours.

The Key to Happiness: Basic Needs & Motivation
The Key to Happiness: Motivation
The Key to Happiness: A Morning routine
If you find yourself indulging in negative states, as the key to happiness moves further away from you, then a morning routine may be just what is needed. Poll some of the happiest and most successful people on the planet and you’ll discover that most of them have set routines in their lives. Getting a positive start to your day is an excellent way to move towards the key to happiness.
The Key To Happiness: Getting up
To those people in which the key to happiness is elusive, many times getting out of bed in the morning is a struggle. Contrast that with the happier lot of society, to which we notice that they sem to bounce out of bed each and every day. Since behaviors can be learned, we can all train ourselves to simulate the latter. In the begining in may require a certain amount of dedication and persistence on your part, but the key to happiness lies in this decision. There are many different positive ways to start your day, and tailoring your routine to your personal interests and values is paramount to your success. Just remember that end result is the same, to put yourself into a positive frame of mind, and move closer to the key to happiness.
The key to happiness: Stretching
(The key to happiness/ The key to happiness/ The key to happiness)
When it comes to undrstanding the key to happiness, it is important to understand the human body. The muscles in our frames hold and release tension. Upon waking our bodies are stiff and our muscles are tight. Unlocking this tension is a great tool towards the key to happiness. Regular stretching trains the muscles to let go of tension and stress, leaving us feeling more relaxed and at ease. This is why yoga is currently so popular, because it allows people to feel better mentaly and physicaly through different stretching postures. A simple 5-minute stretching routine, performed upon waking can do wonders for your morning mindset and the key to happiness. Many physical ailements that people experience in their day to day lives can be eliminated just by stretching. I learned this when I began having extreem neck and back pain. For weeks I couldn’t move my head properly without severe discomfort. I was under the impression that I had a pinched nerve or a pulled muscle. A friend of mine was a yoga instructor and she persuaded me to come to her class. After the third class, in as many days the pain was gone, it turned out that I had a siezed muscle, that just needed to release its stored tension. Since that time I have adopted a quick and easy stretching routine that I perform whenever I feel a little tight, this is one aspect of the key to happiness in my life.
The key to happiness: Exercise
One of the easiest ways to unlock the key to happiness naturally in your life is via exercise. A morning routine that involves physical activity can be extremely beneficial to your health and mental disposition. After 15 – 30 minutes of cardiovascualr exersice, the brain releases endorphines into your blood stream. This is the bodies feel good chemical, a natural anti-depressant. Keeping a elevated heart rate between 50 – 80% will allow for the release of these chemicals. My key to happiness regarding exercise is in the form of jogging, i love to jog, it’s a very meditative experience. I’d say that 80% of the time, I do not enjoy the first 10 minutes of my runs. I run 5-6 times a week, always upon waking, and those first 10 minutes can be not so pleasant. The key to happiness in my jogging routine lies beyond those 10 minutes, because I know aht happens without fail. At some point during my run, i begin to feel lighter, my breathing finds a workable pattern to it, and of course those endorphines kick in. Since I know this, I always push through the first 10 minutes, as I move toward the key to happiness in my morning routine. If jogging isn’t your thing, perhaps you can speed walk, or skip, or any other form of cardio that suits you. Stick with it, and you’ll soon find the key to happiness via endorphines coating your morning experience with hues of positivity.
The Key To Happiness: Meditation
Another aspect of the key to happiness through a morning routine is meditation. There are many different techniques available, all with different outcomes. Since were speaking of the key to happiness and morning routines, a technique that enables these ends is preferable. Meditaions that create energy, or move our thinking towards gratefulness, love, or happiness are excellent morining routines. Spending just 10 minutes focusing your mind towards a positive state can truly be the key to happiness in your life. There are many brainwave audio’s that you can listen to to shift your perspective, or you can simple breath and focus your attention on the desired state. The result is the key to happiness, not the process. I emplore you to find a technique that speaks to you, and do it each and everyday. Or find a few techniques and rotate them through your morning for a little variety. After my morning jog, I spend 10 minutes focussing on how my day will play out in a positive manner. I see myself handling all the challenges of the day with a smile. This is my morning meditation, it’s a style I tailored it to suit my personality, and it works for me. Meditation is not difficult, it’s just a focus on something. Pick your something, discover your technique, and move towards the key to happiness in your mornings.
The key to Happiness: Summary
A morning routine is a great way to start your day and unlock the key to happiness in your life. The beneficial effects are numerous for your body and mind. The importance lies in the intent, what is your end result? Focus on generating that result each and every morning, so that you may carry that feeling with you throughout your day.
